Leadership
With over 15 years in the industry, I've learned a lot. Yet, I always seek to learn more and expand, which means challenging my existing methodologies to stay competitive, relevant and optimal for both the teams and projects I lead.
My leadership experience sits at the intersection of engineering management, infrastructure modernization, product ownership, and operational efficiency. Across media, healthcare, legal, managed services, and construction environments, I have been trusted to lead technical teams, improve aging systems, reduce costs, and turn complex infrastructure problems into practical business outcomes.
At Sinclair Digital, I directly manage development teams responsible for ATSC 3.0 interactive applications, internal tools, and video backend systems used across Sinclair’s news website and app portfolio. I lead work across engineering, product, marketing, infrastructure, analytics, vendors, and external partners to keep teams aligned and focused on delivery.
A major part of my leadership has been driving cost reduction without weakening the business. Since joining Sinclair, I have helped reduce annual costs by approximately $2.5 million by optimizing infrastructure, revising procurement and upgrade strategies, negotiating vendor renewals, and building internal technologies to replace licensed solutions where it made sense.
I have also led and supported large-scale infrastructure improvements across multiple organizations. That includes redesigning IT processes, improving hardware lifecycle management, building and operating virtualized environments, migrating Citrix workloads to the cloud, consolidating domains and networks after a merger, relocating datacenter infrastructure, improving failover systems, and helping organizations move away from legacy systems that created risk or unnecessary expense.
My background gives me a practical leadership style. I started in hands-on technical operations, moved into systems engineering, then into product ownership and software development management. Because of that, I can work directly with engineers on technical details while also communicating clearly with executives, vendors, business teams, and external partners. I try to lead by removing blockers, setting clear priorities, asking direct questions, and making sure technical decisions support the larger business goal.
I have experience managing and supporting teams of 20+ developers, coordinating cross-functional requirements, and stepping into projects that need structure, leadership, or recovery. I have worked closely with sales, marketing, public relations, product, infrastructure, and executive stakeholders to deliver systems that support revenue, compliance, customer experience, and long-term scalability.
I also bring experience managing vendor relationships, project budgets, purchasing decisions, client-facing technology strategy, and executive reporting. Earlier in my career, I served as a vCIO for clients, managed infrastructure proposals and budgets, acted as a senior escalation point, and helped organizations align IT planning with business needs.
My strongest leadership traits are ownership, technical judgment, cost discipline, and the ability to bring structure to complicated environments. I care about building systems that are reliable, scalable, and financially responsible, and I care just as much about building teams that understand why their work matters.
