RPG Investments

Time Worked: January 2014 to July 2020

I worked for RPG Investments as their Network Technician, where I installed a reliable, redundancy-ready wireless network that complied with airport regulations and also provided a high-speed network for multiple tenants, all while handling high-utilization scenarios (financial, CAD, media, etc). During this time, I also facilitated on-demand support, both in-person and remotely, during times of required maintenance.

Projects Worked On

  • Due to the challenging conditions of an airport environment, conventional connection methods were either cost prohibitive or simply not possible.

The solution to this issue was creating a Point-To-Point network that originated in RPG’s aircraft hanger, which then was distributed to three other hangars which contained other tenants.

  • Every good network needs an excellent provider, which is why RPG decided to utilize Cox Communications for a fiber backhaul.

  • RPG requested that the network be not only secure, but also only use the most robust available routing equipment available at the time.

To accomplish this, Cisco switches were deployed and a Fortinet firewall handled securing the network.
