Borrego Health
Time Worked: January 2022 to October 2022
At Borrego Health, I helped transform their virtual computing infrastructure by moving them away from legacy versions of Citrix into new Citrix-Cloud based infrastructure. In addition to this, I led a major revamp of their datacenter hardware and network topology, which strengthened both their security and reliability positions.

Projects Worked On

When I joined Borrego Health, the organization was dependent on some systems that were rapidly aging. To strengthen their security and software support posture, I led the charge on getting the organization running on Citrix Cloud, which made the organization one of the first healthcare clients in the U.S. to go all-in on the groundbreaking software.
-
During my time at Borrego, I led a consolidation project that saw the elimination of dedicated hardware servers in favor of a completely virtual-machine driven environment. This required the deployment of Lenovo server hardware, in addition to Juniper Networks switches, Nimble Storage, and Fortinet security solutions.
-
By utilizing the new Citrix-Cloud infrastructure, I was able to deploy entire healthcare sites in one day by the use of thin clients which communicated with our Citrix instance. No longer did new locations require on-site setup of new hardware or manual software deployment.
